PROGRESSING OUR HERD

In the grand scheme of goating, we're just tiny small fry.  Homesteading as a priority family goal means less direct focus on being a top production herd of any kind.  Even so, we are pursuing some ventures to better our herd and see where we measure up to the prettiest goats in the show ring.

We are pursuing milk test for some does and linear appraisal in 2023.
Below you can find a record of shows we have participated in.  We excitedly have a few in mind for 2023!

UNSPOKEN RULE'S JAZZHANDS!

3rd Place
Senior Sable

Jazz entered the show as unexpectedly dry, so no udder in which to show off!
I do believe she could have taken 2nd in this lineup if not for the lack of udder.  The judge had great things to say about her overall conformation and strength, and he really paused before placing her behind the competition (which was all related to her, hehe.)  This was the first show I ever walked a goat into the ring, which made me super nervous with the biggest clown I own.  Jazz was so pleased to be back in the ring, though!  She was the best behaved and stacked herself for me.  Good job Jazz and better luck next summer.
